J12 Diamond Tourbillon
In 2022, CHANEL presents the new J12 Diamond Tourbillon Caliber 5, a technical prowess and aesthetic achievement and an expression of CHANEL’s watchmaking savoir-faire.
Designed in Paris by Arnaud Chastaingt, Director of the CHANEL Watchmaking Creation Studio, and developed and assembled by the CHANEL Manufacture at La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, the Caliber 5 is the first Flying Tourbillon movement made in-house.
Equally beautiful from both front and back, the exposed mechanism with its sophisticated finish is adorned with a lion’s head, the signature of CHANEL Haute Horlogerie Manufacture movements.
A true technical tour de force, a solitaire diamond is positioned in the center of the flying tourbillon cage. Precisely cut to maximize its brilliance, the diamond turns around to the rhythm of the seconds, creating a hypnotic effect.
The bezel, hands and crown are set with diamonds.
The J12 Tourbillon Diamond is available in matte black ceramic and steel or in glossy black ceramic and 18-carat white gold, each limited to 55 pieces.

In 2022, CHANEL marks a new milestone in the history of the J12 watch, presenting the first J12 33mm equipped with a self-winding caliber, a true technical tour de force and an encapsulation of the House’s watchmaking savoir-faire.
Designed in Paris by Arnaud Chastaingt, Director of the CHANEL Watchmaking Creation Studio, then developed and assembled at the CHANEL Manufacture at La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, the J12 33mm is equipped with an unprecedented self-winding movement: the Caliber 12.2.
Designed and developed exclusively by the Swiss Manufacture Kenissi, the Caliber 12.2 is a miniaturized motorization in which each component has been adjusted to ensure a unique performance.
Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, the Caliber 12.2 is decorated and endowed with an oscillating mass in the form of a perfect circle, the signature of CHANEL Watchmaking. It is chronometer-certified by the COSC, the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute, and has a power reserve of 50 hours.
The J12 33mm Caliber 12.2 is available in black or white highly resistant ceramic.

J12 X-RAY RED EDITION
In 2020, to mark the twentieth anniversary of the J12, CHANEL highlighted the concept of transparency and presented the J12 X-RAY, with its case and bracelet links cut from raw crystal sapphire.
In 2022, the J12 X-RAY RED EDITION ROUGE reveals its curves and those of its movement. The J12 silhouette remains unchanged, but the accent on red, one of the Maison’s signature colors, adds a note of contrast to the look. Symbols of life and passion, the rubies accentuate the unique and sophisticated character of this timepiece.
The movement presents the appearance of a graphic fragment of lace embroidered with bridges and cogwheels, according to the rules of the art of Haute Horlogerie. The cogwheels of the Caliber 3 are still present, but thanks to the sapphire crystal the bridges have ingeniously disappeared.

The bold J12 33mm watch is unveiled in white ceramic. A filigree of logos unfolds from the bezel to the dial. The design is refined, exquisite and graphic, while the composition is artfully asymmetrical.
